Love Yours

So many times in life we experience the feelings of inadequacy. The breakup of a 10-year-old relationship, the loss of a job, the inability to conceive a child, or the 11-year-old who’s never experienced love from a mother or father. That inadequacy. The kind that will chew you up and spit you out! The type that will make you feel that your life needs to be a certain way to be happy.

I believe as women, and men, we have been programmed to automatically respond to the “Hey Tiffany, how are you”? With the “oh I’m fine, and you”??? When on the inside you are shouting “I HAVE $19.25 IN MY CHECKING ACCOUNT, MY GAS TANK IS ON Empty, I JUST BROKE UP WITH MY BOYFRIEND AND OH, I JUST STARTED MY PERIOD!”

But in reality, stating your truth would be too dramatic for a person to absorb. Why is that? Why do we walk around like “we’re fine” when in reality that couldn’t be anything further from the truth. So what do we do??? How do we satisfy the discontentment, how do we turn that sinkhole of inadequacy into adequacy?? Through this simple revelation….. YOU.ARE. ENOUGH

“Each morning you take your head off the pillow, you have all you need”- Neil Donald Walsh

Remember that 10-year-old relationship with Steve that didn’t work out? Believe it or not, that relationship no longer served you. The journey you are on now and the transformation that is taking place within you, no longer fit the mold that he was trying to confine you to babe.

Lost your job? Blessing in disguise. That company didn’t see nor desired to see the true potential and worth that is so apparent. Stay curious. Your curiosity and intuition will lead you to your soul’s purpose for being here.

To the little girl that never received love from a mother or father. Remember this. In life, people can only give you the tools that they were given. You can only give love if you have it within to give. So don’t turn cold or lose hope. Find the light that is within and allow it to guide your heart to love again. I know it sounds cliche babe, but love is all we have.

So you see, we are enough. We are enough as single or married, employed or unemployed, fat ass or little ass, broke or even rich. You are whole. Your life is complete. And there is nothing you have to “do” in this life but simply BE. I believe Jermaine Cole said it best;

“Always gon’ be a whip that’s better than the one you got
Always gon’ be some clothes that’s fresher than the ones you rock
Always gon’ be a girl that’s badder out there on the tours
But you ain’t never gon’ be happy till you love yours”
“No such thing as a life that’s better than yours”
